Welcome to ParishFundraisingBlog.com.

We launch this blog today in the hope that it can help parishes of the Archdiocese of Boston to increase the funds available to further the mission of the Church in their communities.

The Blog is designed to share best practices, news, resources, and advice on parish fundraising and stewardship topics. Our hope is that this Blog can serve as a one-stop shop for a parish staff member searching for info regarding any topic that affects parish development and mission advancement, including successful practices in enhancing parish offertory and grand annual collections, and running strong parish capital campaigns. Helpful news about the Catholic Appeal, the IFRC, and special collections will also be provided, just to name a few. We hope it will grow to include interviews with experts on parish fundraising at the parish level as well as with parish fundraising counsel.

We invite you to search through the significant resources already posted on this blog. It includes summaries of our Fall Fundraising Forums (on electronic giving, increasing offertory, planned giving, etc.), suggested fundraising/stewardship books, lists of service providers (Fundraising Consultants, Offertory Envelope firms, Parish Bulletin firms), and many articles on aspects of parish fundraising.

We look forward to helping you advance the mission of your parish and that of local Church here in Boston in any way possible. Any suggestions that will improve our ability to serve you are always welcome.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Scot Landry

Secretary for Institutional Advancement & Chief Development Officer

Archdiocese of Boston
